Walking Food Tours of Oceanside

Our speaker on March 26th was Linda Pina (center), from Walking Food Tours of Oceanside. Her organization has partnered with several of the restaurants in our city to provide an interesting idea. Sign up for one of their tours (they have 3) and you will visit four of our incredible eateries in a period of two and a half hours. Food is included in one price. Also pictured Patsy Downs.

OPD Visit

This week we were honored to have two representatives from our police department, Officer Ashley Witherspoon, on the left and Crime Prevention program representative Ashley Sanchez. Besides explaining their youth education responsibilities, they brought information on home security, criminal identification, important city phone numbers and enforcement contacts.

Water supply in Oceanside

Want to know about the future of our water supply in Oceanside? These folks came to tell us. They are members of a new program called “Pure Water Oceanside”, which will put in place the means whereby our supply of ground water will increase its portion of our overall supply from 10% to 32% by 2020, thus cutting our imported water from 89% to 44%. This is accomplished by the treatment of our recycled water. Pictured from left to right are Sarah Davis, Lindsay Leahy, our president Dennis Merchant, Cari Dale and Adam Hoch.
