About Our Club

Our History

The Rotary Club of San Luis Rey was founded on May 27, 1992 with 36 charter members. We were sponsored by the Rotary Club of Oceanside, the first Rotary club in North County, established in 1924. Our original weekly gathering place was the historic Mission San Luis Rey de Francia in Oceanside. Over the years we have lead numerous service projects in our community and around the world.

If you are interested in learning more about the Mission,  please click HERE for the Mission’s website or click HERE to for the Old Mission San Luis Rey Historic Foundation to learn how you can help preserve this national treasure.
